Please take some time to browse my galleries of paintings.  My paintings for me have become a sort of visual travel journal.  New environments open my eyes and my senses to seeing differently and more astutely.  I am trying in my work to capture that sense of visual awe and newness of place that comes with travel.  When traveling, most of us do not remember exact details, but are instead left with a “sense of place”, a feeling based on memories from all our 5 senses.  My goal is to evoke this mystery and atmospheric memory without relying on depicting exact details. I am also fascinated with the beauty of decay, the fact that the built environment is no match for the natural one, that we are in a constant struggle to resist this fact.  We value shiny cars, new gadgets, youth and beauty.  Our image of the future is stainless steel, sleek and plastic. Yet this futuristic vision eludes us.  Decay is ever present.  This pristine ideal is a myth and celebrating decay is a way to dispel this myth.  Perhaps one might say that the future... is old.

That said, all of my work is produced with top quality archival paints and papers and will last a lifetime. Most of my work is for sale, pieces marked sold are currently in private collections.  I am not yet represented by any galleries, if you're interrested in showing my work please contact me.
