Sparring and Drawing with George Forman

Big thank you to Joanne Kaliontzis and George Forman III for inviting a group of artists from Fpoint to his new boxing gym "Everybody Fights" in Midway Studios to sit and draw the boxing in action. This was a very new exercise for me, drawing bodies in motion is a fascinating challenge. I found myself making rapid fire mental snapshots and having to really let go to allow anything to come out onto the paper. It was so much fun, and there were a lot of great results from all the artists. It also sparked a dialogue with the boxers and trainers there. What a great way to combine to diverse groups. We are pleased to have George's gym in the building.
